Introduction
Lesson 5 of 7

There’s only one way to find out what your designer can do — but the possibilities are wild!

Every graphic designer has different experience and skills, so don’t make any assumptions, and always ask your designer what their skill set is. Most have wide knowledge encompassing at least some digital and print experience, but many like to specialize based on their training.

For Example
A graphic designer who has worked largely at web agencies may have a strong knowledge of e-commerce best practices, but not know how to prepare a booklet for print.

Since graphic designers work closely with many other professions, many develop skills beyond graphic design. While these may not be their primary specialty, they may be able to provide strong and efficient support in these areas. Common supporting skills include:

A video editing interface.
